We will be holding a demonstration for World Day for Farmed Animals at Pioneer Park in Fremantle.
We will have A1 size full colour photos for people to hold as well as our tablets which will be playing a different assortment of footage from Australian farms and slaughterhouses. If you have a tablet and wish to bring this along to use on the day we also encourage this, we will have relevant footage that can be uploaded to your tablet prior to the event and we will post links to these in the event page.
We will have people designated to holding a sign silently and another group of people handing out flyers, asking people to watch footage on tablets/computers and talking to the general public about what we are advocating for.
There will also be a true to size sow stall there on the day to show people the grim reality that mother pigs face on a daily basis.
We want to create a sombre mood so we ask that people refrain from talking/laughing. If you are holding signs please be aware that you will be holding them for approximately 2 hours, if you have any condition that may hinder your ability to do this please let us know and we can work out how to best place you so that you are not uncomfortable or so that you can take a moment to rest if needed.
We ask that you wear black as we want to appear uniform, if you wish to purchase an Animal Liberation WA shirt to wear on the day please inform us before hand so we can bring one along for you.
This is a peaceful demonstration and we ask that people act accordingly, if you are approached in a negative manner please do not engage and walk away if possible. If you feel threatened at all during the day we ask that you approach an organiser.
