Today, 24 May 2016, the UWA PAW group held their annual “De-stress” Day. ALWA was invited and held an outreach stall on the Oak lawn.
While the weather was unsure whether to rain or stay pleasant, we managed to reach many people with the vegan message for compassion towards all animals and engaged in a number of constructive conversations.
Thanks to our volunteers that came down to help out.
The UWA PAW group is the University of Western Australia’s Guild group People for Animal Welfare. As part of their De-Stress Event many organisations made appearances including: SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia), GOSAC (Give Our Strays A Chance), Cat Haven, Guide Dogs WA, and Sea Shepherd.
Along with the festive atmosphere, there was vegan sausage sizzle, vegan cupcakes and a cruelty free raffle.
